I am a Brazilian creative with a background in graphic design and art direction and over 15 years of experience.
I am working as Head of Art at Publicis Canada.
I was born in a small city in Brazil called Arapiraca. If you are Brazilian, I know what you think. It's like Texas, but way hotter. I started my career before the university as a nerd, working with my father, making websites and a hundred-thousands-millions of stuff to the internet.
It was fun.
And my first HTML editor was Yahoo Geocities (if that can be named as an HTML editor nowadays).
Moving forward. I decided to go to university to study Graphic Design in Maceió. Just out of curiosity again, the first course opened in the same year I finished high school.
After that, I moved to São Paulo to study an Art Direction specialization in Miami Ad School.
I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of global clients, from non-profit institutions like National Geographic, to major brands such as Jeep, VISA, Heineken, Uber, Whatsapp From Facebook, Boehringer Ingelheim, Havaianas Alpargatas, Mars, AB InBev, Nestlé, Powerade, Whirpool and many more.
My work has been recognized by some of the most important advertising awards, such as D&AD, Cannes, The One Show, Clio, El Ojo, London Festival, CCSP and more. And in 2019, I was selected to be part of the Brazilian delegation that went to Cannes to compete in the Young Lions Competition.
I also worked at incredible agencies such as F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Almap/BBDO, Foote Cone & Belding and Accenture Interactive.
My work has also been featured on important media outlets such as AOL News, Huffington Post, Fast Company, Mashable, The Drum, AdAge (Pick of the Day), Shots Magazine and Adweek.
